In 2022, I wrote this client's original net zero strategy, the first formal commitment of its kind made by a local authority leisure operator in the UK. Three years later, they brought me back to raise the ambition further, integrating nature and biodiversity alongside net zero into a single overarching strategy.

The complexity was real: 70+ local authority partners, each with different emissions boundaries and different expectations of what a sustainability strategy should cover. The solution was a three-strand framework spanning the organisation's own estate, its supply chain, and areas requiring collaboration with local authority partners, with nature metrics woven across all three.

Our engagement now spans over a decade. That longevity means the strategy I produce is both ambitious and grounded in how the organisation actually works.
